Sky Bet Sunday Series
Thirsk races has been chosen to host a fantastic Sky Bet Sunday Series raceday! Expect an action-packed afternoon of top-class racing, broadcast live on ITV, with impressive prize money set to attract leading trainers and jockeys from across the country. Gather family and friends for a brilliant day at the races and soak up the lively atmosphere. This meeting will operate as a single enclosure event, with all Premier areas open to racegoers. Grandstand admission will be the only ticket option available for the day. Alongside the racing, visitors can enjoy live entertainment from THE FLAT CAP BRASS BAND, plus a great selection of bars and food vendors around the course. For an extra-special experience, why not upgrade to one of our hospitality packages and reserve your table for the day
It's also Family Day, meaning plenty of FREE entertainment for younger visitors, including inflatables, fairground stalls, a laser battle zone, games, face painting, a kids disco and much more.
Saver Rate tickets are available until midnight on Thursday 28th May. After that, prices will move to the on-the-day rate, so book early to secure the best value.

Thirsk facts
In 2021, according to the UK Census, the population of Thirsk was 5,309. Thirsk appears in the Domesday Book as Tresche — meaning "a place by the water".
Thirsk is a popular tourist destination and the home of author James Herriot (Alf Wight) and birthplace of Thomas Lord, founder of Lord's Cricket Ground.
Thirsk Racecourse facts
During 1914–1923, Thirsk Racecourse closed for the war. In 1967 the Tatterstalls and family stand were built. The Pavilion Stand was constructed in 1999.
The founder of Lord's Cricket Ground, Thomas Lord, has a restaurant at the racecourse named after him. The Chestnut Room owners and trainers structure opened in September 2018.
